PVR Cinemas In Association With D-BOX Introduces India’s First D-BOX Motion Seat Technology

PVR Cinemas, India’s largest and the most premium film Exhibition Company in partnership with D-BOX Technologies Inc. (TSX: DBO), a world leader in immersive motion entertainment experiences introduces India’s first movie theater featuring D-BOX motion seats at PVR ICON, Versova in Mumbai, today. The globally popular technology is used in the making of the mega blockbuster, ‘War’, marking another first in the Indian movie industry.


Soon after crossing the 800 screens-milestone, PVR Cinemas relentlessly continues to introduce world-class cinemagoing formats such as D-BOX seat technology. D-BOX’s unique motion technology enables viewer to experience immersive entertainment by triggering imagination through motion. It transmits motion codes in sync with the on-screen content through the D-BOX enabled seats, creating a euphoric experience for the viewers.


In line with the brand’s strategy, PVR Cinemas will launch the D-BOX motion seat technology in Mumbai and Delhi in the first phase of installation process. In the capital, the D-BOX motion seats will be featured at PVR Select CITYWALK. In the first phase of installation, over 407 D-BOX motion seats will be introduced in 11 auditoriums across Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.
