COAI Wishes All A Happy World Emoji Day

COAI wishes all a Happy World Emoji DayA picture speaks a thousand words’, goes the old adage. But an emoji tells the whole story – without getting verbose or pixelated.   Since its inception almost two decades ago emojis have become an integral part of our daily communications and they have helped us speak a language which is universal and understood by all.

In recognition of the universal appeal of emojis and the way they have added emotions to our rather black-and-white day-to-day communications, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) today launched an online campaign to celebrate the colourful and atypical world of emojis.

Today, these bright and colourful ideograms have become an indispensable and fun part of our daily conversations. Emojis are increasingly dynamic - they add character and emotion to plain old texts, and help save the day when words aren’t enough. As if this didn’t make them cool  enough already, their visual universality enables them to transcend all forms of language barriers.

COAI specially recognise the ability of emojis to give expression as well as voice to numerous campaigns launched for social goods. The power of language should not get limited for want of expression and emojis brings the solution here. This World Emoji Day, let’s put those emojis to use, and celebrate by speaking the language of the .
